Why Athos™ Dosys

A medication error is rarely an isolated failure

It usually stems from a system that forces nursing unit staff to manage stock, expiration dates and dispensing by hand, under pressure and without real-time traceability. Athos™ Dosys connects every cabinet to the hospital pharmacy system.

Every drawer opening is logged

Every unit dispensed is deducted from inventory in real time

Every expiration date is tracked automatically

The Athos™ Dosys family

One Base that controls every cabinet on the nursing unit

The Dosys Base identifies the person dispensing and opens any drawer in the connected cabinets. Add auxiliary cabinets, returns bins or refrigerators to suit what each unit needs.

The cabinet that controls the entire system. It identifies each professional by fingerprint or user login and opens any drawer or rack in the connected cabinets.

How it works

One ID, one drawer, one record

The Base decides what opens, in which cabinet and for whom. Here's what a removal looks like from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us about Athos™ Dosys

Controlled substances

Need to manage controlled substances?

Athos™ Dosys Narcotics adds controlled substance cabinets that can work with the same Base.

Discover Athos™ Dosys Narcotics
How does Athos™ Dosys reduce medication errors on the nursing unit?

It automates drawer-based dispensing and validates every removal against the central hospital pharmacy system. That eliminates the margin for error that comes from manual picking and from not knowing what stock each unit has.

Can it handle medication that needs refrigeration?

Yes. The refrigerated drawers display temperature and humidity in real time, in the same cabinet as the rest of the medication. For the unit's refrigerators, Athos™ eLock adds an electronic lock controlled from the Base.

How does it affect the hospital's drug costs?

Hospitals that implement Athos™ Dosys report a 20% to 40% reduction in net medication costs, thanks to better inventory control, less waste and fewer expired products.

How many cabinets can a single Base control?

Up to 8 columns, auxiliary cabinets and refrigerators combined. That way, dispensing can be expanded across an entire nursing unit without multiplying management stations.

How is the security level of each drawer chosen?

Based on the risk of the medication: maximum security for strictly controlled items, with sequential single-unit opening; high for high-capacity groups with controlled lids; and medium, with LED guidance, for the most frequently used, lower-risk medication.

How much time does your nursing team spend counting stock?
