Why Athos™ Dosys RFID

With high-cost supplies, knowing how much is left isn't enough

With prostheses, implants and specialized devices, you need to be able to show which patient and which procedure each unit was used for.

What it solves

Connected to the hospital, 24/7

Linked to the centralized management system through Athos™ Track, with automation and supply traceability around the clock.

Expiration dates under control

Tighter control of each unit's expiration dates.

Real-time stock

You know at all times which high-cost supplies are in the cabinet.

Fewer lost supplies

Only authorized users get access, and every removal is logged.

No stockouts

Restocking is anticipated before any unit runs out.

How it works

Open, take, close. The cabinet knows what's been taken

Every unit carries an RFID tag. When you close the door, the cabinet reads them all at once, without scanning them one by one.

What advantage does RFID offer over barcodes for high-value supplies?

RFID can identify multiple units at once, without reading them one by one. This speeds up stock control and reduces the time spent on manual management, especially for high-cost, fast-moving supplies.

How does it prevent stockouts of high-value supplies?

With real-time control and a 24/7 connection to the central system through Athos™ Track, the hospital can anticipate restocking needs before a stockout occurs.

What supplies can be stored in the cabinet?

High-cost medications and medical devices, or those that require strict patient-level traceability, such as prostheses, implants or specialized devices.
